Best way to know if your girlfriend or boyfriend is losing interest and what to do

Even though there is nothing as amazing as a relationship that is going well, all too often things take a turn for the worse, and you wind up in a bad situation.
Usually, this results in a breakup, which can be devastating if it happens out of the blue.
However, when it comes to girls, most of the time you can pick up on the warning signs ahead of time.

While spotting this kind of behavior can mean that your relationship is on the outs, it’s usually better to be prepared for it rather than let it blindside you.

    1. She’s Distant

Typically speaking, a woman will sever her ties to someone emotionally before she does so physically.
If you start to notice that she’s not always “present” when she’s with you, then it could mean that she’s not interested in making the relationship work.
She may be spending more time on the phone or not engaging in conversation, but it’s usually pretty obvious when she starts acting distant.

    2. She Avoids Contact

Physical touching and eye contact are two surefire signs that someone is interested in you. They can’t stop staring at you, and they can’t keep their hands off of you.
If you notice that she is doing neither (particularly if she was before), then it probably means that she’s backing off the relationship.
This is made even worse if she rejects advances from you, such as swatting your hands away or avoiding eye contact when you talk to her.

    3. She’s Busier Than Usual

We all lead busy lives, but every one of us is more than willing to make time for the things that are important to us.
Even if we can’t spend as much time as we’d like, we certainly don’t make excuses.
If your girlfriend is blowing you off lately because she’s “too busy,” then it’s a sign that things are going bad and she’s losing interest.
One thing to consider here, too, is if she tries to compensate for missing you.
Sometimes things do come up, and it’s hard to get together, but if she starts calling or texting more often to stay in touch, then it usually means that it’s only temporary.

    4. There’s No Chemistry

Whether it’s kissing or spending time in the bedroom, if the fire seems to have gone out in your relationship, it could mean that she’s losing interest.
In this case, however, part of the problem could be your approach, so it’s good to figure out if she’s just avoiding sexy time because of that or if it’s related to something deeper.
Overall, if you were both hot and heavy for each other and now things have fizzled out, that could spell disaster.

    5. She Doesn’t Include You in the Future

Women tend to include their partners in most of their future plans, even subconsciously in some cases.
However, if she starts talking about what’s going to happen next year or a few years from now as if she’s an individual (meaning you’re conspicuously absent), then it probably means that she doesn’t see you around much longer.
Instead of saying “we,” she says “I’m going to do this.”

    6. She Talks About Other People

One of the worst things that can happen when you’re in a relationship is for your partner to get involved with someone else while you’re together.
However, when a woman loses interest, then she might start paying attention to other potential mates, which could spell disaster for you two.
Thus, if she starts talking about someone else a lot more, particularly if she lights up when speaking of him, then it could mean that she’s more interested in what he has to offer than you.

    7. So, What Can You Do?

If you notice any or all of these signs, then the first thing to do is figure out what you want to have happen next.
If you really want to keep seeing her, then it could be that you need to make more of an effort.
Sometimes, women lose interest because they don’t see much value or reward in the relationship, so it may be a possibility that you can turn things around.
Above all, the best thing to do is talk to her. Let her know how you feel and discuss things that have been going on lately.
If she starts to get defensive, then it probably means that she’s looking for a fight, potentially one that could end the relationship.
Overall, it’s best to stay calm and be as open and honest as possible.
Ask her how she feels and what she wants to do, and see if there is any way that you can bridge the gap. In the end, however, if she wants to leave, you need to respect that decision.
Even if it hurts or you feel devastated as a result, you don’t want to be with someone who doesn’t want to be with you.
